When your renovation or new build wraps up, the last thing you need is construction dust settling onto new finishes and tenant complaints about air quality. Our three-phase post-construction cleanup process — rough clean, light clean, and final detail — ensures every surface, vent, and fixture is thoroughly cleaned before anyone moves in. We've handled cleanups for office build-outs, residential gut renovations, and ground-up commercial projects across Manhattan.
“Construction dust gets everywhere — into HVAC systems, behind fixtures, under floors. A rushed cleanup leads to tenant complaints on day one. Our three-phase process ensures your space is truly ready for occupancy, not just surface-clean.”
Post-construction cleanup is not a single event — it is a structured, three-phase process. Phase 1 (Rough Clean) happens while finishing trades are still on site: we remove bulk debris, sweep and shovel construction waste, and do initial heavy dusting. Phase 2 (Light Clean) begins after all trades are complete: detailed surface wiping, HEPA vacuuming of all surfaces including walls and ceilings, and initial floor preparation. Phase 3 (Final Detail) is the move-in ready clean: window cleaning, fixture polishing, final floor treatment, and a punch-list walkthrough with the project manager.
Construction dust is not ordinary dust. It contains silica from concrete and dryite, gypsum from drywall, wood particles, and potentially lead or asbestos in older buildings. Standard cleaning methods just redistribute these particles. Our post-construction teams use HEPA-filtered vacuums rated for fine particulates, negative air machines when necessary, and wet-wiping techniques that trap dust rather than spreading it. We also clean inside HVAC ducts and registers to prevent construction particulates from circulating through your new space for months after occupancy.
We understand construction timelines and the pressure to reach Certificate of Occupancy. Our project managers coordinate directly with your GC to schedule each cleanup phase around finishing trades. We work nights and weekends to stay off the critical path. For union job sites, our crews carry appropriate credentials and follow all site-specific safety and access protocols. We provide detailed scoping and fixed pricing so there are no surprises at the end of the project.
